UK property: the choice is amazing

Some people have dreams of living in a typically English cottage with roses around the front door, perhaps similar to something you might see on the front of a box of chocolates. Other may have illusions of living in a swanky penthouse apartment with a view of the city skyline. Others may consider that a new build house on a new development is right for them, whilst yet more love the idea of a Victorian terrace.

With distinctive styles of architecture from each historical period, the UK has a huge wealth of different types of property. From rambling farmhouse to bijou studio flat there is something to suit everybody.

Of course, it is important to remember that if you do decide to live in an older property then it may not be quite as idyllic as your dreams. Older houses have higher maintenance costs and may have hidden horrors, but of course do have much more character than new developments which run the risk of all looking very generic.
